Development and test of an Exhaust Gas Recirculation System.
In this project, MAN Diesel, Lindø, Maersk and Aalborg Industries have joined together to develop and test an EGR system. The EGR system should be fitted in an engine room and integrated with the other auxiliary systems.
The project has a potential of 50 % NOx reduction.
When the EGR system is developed, a full-scale verification test is planed. The full-scale test was carried out at Alexander Maersk at the end of 2009.
A prototype of the EGR system has been set up on the test engine at MAN Diesel in Copenhagen.
